Twenties High Belted Tunic
1921 to 1925
The high-belted tailored tunic follows the slightly earlier knitted tie-belt tunic.
There was of course an overlap but distinctly the belt buckled or buttoned just under the bust whereas the tie-belt was looped at the natural waist There seems to be a clear style at a time when the mid calf skirt was in vogue.
Hemlines during the Twenties reached their lowest about 1924.
